Recently it has been ruled that an employee is entitled to clock his actual work time in order to ensure control the registration of his realized work hours. In the past it was often seen as an obligation enforced by employers. As a result, work councils sometimes ruled against the implementation of registration via clock times.
With the new European ruling it is likely that work councils turn around and start demanding physical clocks to be installed for the registration of work time.
